As your child grows up, his boundaries get larger and larger.  While it is hard to let a child spread his wings and explore the world, it is a necessary part of life.  It is during that time when they are still under your roof, but not necessary in your eyesight every moment that you have the most say in where and how your child learns responsibility.  Sometimes, the best way to teach this essential life skill is to entrust your child with a piece of equipment and stress the importance of maintaining that equipment properly.  One piece of equipment that is excellent for teaching your child responsibility is the Razor e300 electric scooter.

The Razor e300 electric scooter is a stand up scooter powered by a single chain motor and controlled by a variable speed throttle.  It can reach speeds of up to fifteen miles per hour.  The first ground rule you should establish with your child if he is to ride this scooter is that he must always wear a helmet.  You might also want him to research local traffic laws to learn where he can and cannot ride his scooter; this is something that is recommended by Razor USA, the manufacturing company.  They disclaim any responsibility for traffic violations you may commit while riding their scooter.

Your child will also learn about time management and delayed gratification when using the Razor e300.  That is because the two twelve volt batteries have a life of about forty five minutes, after which time it needs to be charged overnight, approximately eight hours.  This means that you child will have to budget his time on the scooter wisely to ensure he isn’t walking it home.

Finally, because the scooter can travel at higher speeds than walking, it allows your child to explore more of your neighborhood.  At the same time, it means that they must understand what time they need to return and where they can and cannot travel.  If used properly, the Razor e300 electric scooter can be an excellent way to teach your child the fundamentals of responsibility.
